Family Couchettes
Couchettes are a popular choice for sleeping accommodation. They are tailor made for families with a choice of 4 or 6 per compartment.

Couchette compartments are booked on a sole occupancy basis. Except for those wanting shared berths.

In your compartment you will find ready for you freshly laundered cotton bedding, blankets and pillows. Toilet and washing facilities are found at each end of the carriage.

Our couchette compartments offer much more than other train operators. Each carriage has its own Host(ess) who will serve you a welcome aperitif and a warm bite to eat. These friendly staff will be with you throughout the journey and will gladly serve you with drinks, hot or cold and snacks throughout the journey. (See our comment page).

In the early part of the journey and in the morning your compartment offers seating with a panoramic window. At night time your Host(ess) will convert the seats into sleeping berths. You will be ordered a ‘Good Night’ mineral water.

In the morning we’ll serve you a complimentary breakfast with tea or coffee in your compartment.

On all our routes you have an option to share with others at a reduced cost, in mixed ‘team compartments’.

Notes: Children under 8 years can if you wish ‘share’ one berth in a compartment, (top and tail.) Unfortunately compartments are not long enough to accommodate a travel cot – sorry.

All compartments are offered on a SOLE OCCUPANCY BASIS except our shared ‘team’ couchettes with budget berths. These are mixed sex.

We offer budget berths in both 4 and 6 berth couchette compartments. Our designated pets compartment are offered in 4 or 6 berth couchettes. Pets are not allowed in sleepers.
